On 3 July, Bolesławiec police officers detained a 27-year-old man who threatened his female neighbour and her one-and-a-half-year-old child with an air rifle. The altercation occurred when the mother asked her neighbour to quiet his dog. The animal had been barking since early morning and would not let her child sleep.
Afraid of the 27-year-old, the woman called the municipal police and then the police. The man threatened the municipal police officers. At one point, he held a weapon out of the window and, aiming it at his neighbour, shouted that he would kill her and hurt her child. Police officers called to the scene detained the aggressive man. It turned out that he was drunk. He had 1.5 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system.
He now faces a sentence of up to two years in prison.
