The seventh edition of the Modern Dance Review took place on June 14 in the Forum cinema hall. A jury consisting of Małgorzata Gietler, a dance teacher and choreographer, Piotr Koziarski, and Piotr Gębura, a dancer, choreographer and artistic director of Teatr Tańca Współczesnego ARKA, assessed performances by young dancers from across Lower Silesia and beyond.
The judges focused primarily on technique, choreography, the richness and diversity of the routines, as well as aesthetics and costume selection.
The young dancers demonstrated their skills in such dance styles as disco, hip-hop and contemporary dance. Here are the winners in the individual categories:
- Gabriela Zenka from Chojnów – disco solo category, up to age 15
- Piotr Korol from Chojnów – disco solo category, over age 15
- Gabriela Zenka from Chojnów – hip-hop category, up to age 15
- Jordan Czopko from Bolesławiec – hip-hop category, over age 15
- Gabriela Zenka from Chojnów – solo contemporary dance category
- Karambol group from Chojnów – disco formations category, up to age 15
- Brooklyn group from Chojnów – disco formations category, over age 15
- Twister II group – hip-hop formations category, up to age 15
- Canon group from Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – hip-hop formations category, over age 15
- Etiuda group from Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury w Bolesławcu – contemporary dance formations category, up to age 15
- Modus group from Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury w Bolesławcu – contemporary dance formations category, over age 15.
The review was organized by Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury.
