A serious road accident occurred late Saturday afternoon in Łaziska near Bolesławiec. A speeding BMW travelling towards Kruszyn collided with an oncoming Toyota Yaris. The rear of the struck car came to a stop against a roadside fence.
Two young men—the BMW driver and passenger—were taken to hospital. The men hit their heads against the car’s windscreen. They probably were not wearing seat belts. The BMW left long braking marks on the road.
Residents of Łaziska complain that the road towards Kruszyn is very dangerous. Drivers travel very fast, disregarding the fact that the road is narrow and that children play in the area. According to Łaziska residents, speed bumps could solve the problem.
