In the afternoon, three cars collided on national road No. 4, at the exit from Bolesławiec toward Zgorzelec. The driver of a black Audi towing a trailer was overtaking a Volkswagen Golf.
The man probably misjudged the distance to a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction and, in order to avoid a collision, moved back into his lane too quickly. The trailer clipped the vehicle being overtaken. The Audi driver lost control of the car and left the road, ending up in a roadside ditch. The car overturned.
A bus was also involved in the collision and was most likely clipped by the Golf. The Audi driver and passenger were injured. They were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
