On 16–17 February, the Polish Indoor Combined Events Championships were held in Spała, where Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Bolesłavia was represented by Jacek Nabożny and Karolina Kędzia. Jacek competed in the heptathlon, while Karolina took part in the pentathlon.

Jacek Nabożny and Szymon Czapiewski of SL WKS Zawisza Bydgoszcz finished the competition with an identical score of 5,542 points, improving the Polish junior indoor record by more than 300 points. After a closely fought contest, the athlete from Bolesławiec narrowly lost to his competitor from Bydgoszcz and won the silver medal. Czapiewski became the Polish junior champion because he won four of the seven events. MKS Bolesłavia representative Karolina Kędzia, meanwhile, finished fifth in the pentathlon.

Jacek Nabożny’s Polish record can confidently be counted among the greatest achievements of MKS Bolesłavia athletes in the club’s entire 40-year history. Jacek has been training in athletics for six years. He is one of the more talented athletes from Bolesławiec. He won the silver medal at the 2007 Polish Indoor Championships in Spała and finished fourth in the decathlon at the Nationwide Youth Olympics in Łódź. This year, he will compete for the qualifying standard for the World Championships in the decathlon.
