Shortly after midnight on January 26, Bolesławiec police detained a 21-year-old man on Bobrowa Street who was driving a Hyundai Lantra. He was drunk, with 2.70 parts per mille of alcohol in his system. It turned out that immediately before his detention, the man had caused a collision on Gdańska Street. The 21-year-old hit a Fiat Tipo and left the scene. The person responsible for the collision is subject to a ban on driving motor vehicles, issued by the District Court in Lubin.
On the same day, at around 11:00 p.m., officers detained a 33-year-old driver of an Audi A6 passenger car in Gościszów. He had 1.50 parts per mille of alcohol in his system.
