October 14 is National Education Day. On this occasion, a meeting between the authorities and teachers, directors, and educators of children and young people was held at the Wedding Palace in Bolesławiec Town Hall. The Mayor of the City thanked all the guests in attendance. He also presented distinctions for outstanding professional achievements.
During the meeting, participants discussed education in our city, particularly its development directions. There was also no shortage of topics concerning the students themselves. In this regard, teachers shared their experience of working with young people.
Bolesławiec has five primary schools and four municipal lower-secondary schools. They educate 4,700 students. A total of 333 teachers teach in the primary and lower-secondary schools. The city’s eight preschools are attended by 730 children, including 360 six-year-olds. Seventy-eight teachers care for the preschool children.
