On September 26, 2007, students from primary and lower-secondary schools received scholarships at Bolesławiec Town Hall for academic results and other achievements in the 2006/2007 school year. Scholarships are awarded in two categories: for academic results and for outstanding achievements in science, art or sport.
This year’s scholarships went to 24 students. Scholarships for academic results were awarded to: Adrian Żuromski (Primary School No. 1), Agnieszka Górecka (Primary School No. 1), Aleksander Mróz (Primary School No. 1), Aleksandra Korczowska (Primary School No. 2), Marta Jaworska (Primary School No. 2), Malwina Makaro (Primary School No. 2), Magdalena Filip (Primary School No. 3), Krystyna Zając (Primary School No. 3), Aneta Miżdal (Primary School No. 4), Karolina Radka (Primary School No. 4), Adriana Dereszyńska (MZS No. 1: Primary School No. 5), Olga Magdalena Sławuska (MZS No. 1: Primary School No. 5), Rafał Antoni Ryżewski (MZS No. 1: Primary School No. 5), Przemysław Juda (Self-Government Lower-Secondary School No. 2), Agata Grela (GS No. 2), Małgorzata Arciszewska (GS No. 3), Dorota Marta Tkacz (GS No. 3), and Bartosz Kuczyński (GS No. 4).
Scholarships for outstanding achievements in science, art or sport were awarded to: Filip Pająk (Primary School No. 1), Paweł Kazanowski (Primary School No. 1), Maks Brandt (Primary School No. 4), Przemysław Juda (GS No. 2), Agnieszka Janicka (GS No. 2), Wojciech Kowalski (GS No. 2), and Maciej Rajfur (GS No. 2).
The Mayor of Bolesławiec has awarded academic scholarships for the fourth time. Those present at the award ceremony included Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk, Chairwoman of the City Council; Deputy Mayor Maciej Małkowski; Krystyna Boratyńska, head of the Social Affairs Department; councillors; school principals; and the parents of the talented students.
The scholarship amount ranges from PLN 600 to PLN 1,200. The financial assistance will be paid in four instalments: in September, October, November and December.
