Officers from the Criminal Division of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra arrested a 23-year-old man suspected of theft. The incident occurred at the end of last year on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra. The victim, heading to a medical facility, inadvertently left a bag outside the entrance, where the 23-year-old noticed it. He took advantage of the opportunity and stole the bag, which contained a credit card, a bicycle helmet, a lamp and glasses. The owner estimated the resulting losses at nearly PLN 1,000.
Based on images from the city’s surveillance system and the information collected in the case, officers identified the man suspected of the theft. The 23-year-old was arrested. He confessed to the crime. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
