Officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 33-year-old man suspected of possessing a significant quantity of narcotic drugs, dealing in them and intra-Community trafficking.

The arrest took place on October 6, at approximately 8:00 p.m. The police officers were in one of the apartments in Jelenia Góra for another matter when they detected a strong smell of marijuana. A 33-year-old man who was visibly nervous was in the room from which the smell was coming. It turned out that he had drugs hidden in bags in various places around the room. They were amphetamine and marijuana, from which nearly 1,000 retail doses could be obtained. The suspect explained that he had brought the drugs from the Czech Republic and had dealt in them.

The man was taken into police custody. He now faces up to 15 years in prison.
