The incident occurred on October 6, at around 5:00 a.m. The Lubin police duty officer received a call from an operator of the city monitoring system, who reported that a break-in may have occurred at one of the kindergartens. A police officer sent a patrol from the prevention department to the scene. The officers spotted a man there with a crowbar. At the sight of the police, the burglar began to flee. After a short chase, he was detained and taken to police custody.
As it turned out, the man had already stolen money, a projector and a safe. He had arranged the loot under a window. However, he did not have time to take it because he was detained. The stolen property was handed over to its owner. The 34-year-old resident of Lubin now faces up to 10 years in prison.
