Officers from the Police Station in Kowary apprehended a 62-year-old man suspected of stealing a wallet. The crime took place on September 30, at around 11:00 a.m., in one of the grocery discount stores in Kowary. The man noticed that a woman had accidentally dropped her wallet. The 62-year-old took advantage of the situation and stole it. The stolen property included cash and documents.
The victim notified the police. That same day, officers detained the 62-year-old suspected of the offense. The man confessed to the theft. Police recovered the victim’s documents and some of the cash. The thief had already managed to spend most of the money on alcohol. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
