A municipal police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene, but the vandals were no longer there. Officers did, however, find the torn-out roadside posts (one of them had been abandoned near the viaduct).
At around 3:00 a.m., while observing Staszica Street, the monitoring operator spotted two men. It turned out that they were the same people who had earlier damaged the posts near the skatepark. The men attempted to tear out more roadside posts and a manhole cover, and tugged at the timetable sign on a post by the bus stop. This time, the perpetrators were caught red-handed. Both received a PLN 500 fine.
