Officers from the Police Station in Rudna, together with personnel from the Criminal Department of the Lubin District Police Headquarters, detained a man suspected of growing cannabis and supplying narcotic drugs. It turned out that the detainee was a 31-year-old resident of Lubin. Police dismantled the cultivation operation run by the man, seizing 153 cannabis plants at various stages of growth. What is more, officers also apprehended a 38-year-old who was at the plantation at the time. Both Lubin residents were completely surprised by the officers’ visit.
The detainees were placed in police custody. The 31-year-old Lubin resident will face charges for growing and supplying narcotic drugs, while his older companion will face charges for possessing them. At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the younger suspect to be held in temporary custody. He could face up to 10 years in prison, while his colleague could receive up to 3 years behind bars.
