The theft took place on Saturday, September 10, at 6:10 p.m. “In a brazen, shameless manner, bicycles were stolen from a garage on Mostowa Street in Bolesławiec,” the victims say. “The thieves entered the private property when the owners briefly left the garage door open. They pulled them out from the far end of the garage. While fleeing in panic, they abandoned their own bicycle.
The robbed residents of Bolesławiec are asking for help in finding:
- a 26-inch men's Lazaro Generation V2 bicycle (color: dark graphite with green lettering, white suspension forks)
- a 28-inch women's Lazaro Elitary V2 bicycle (white with a distinctive white saddle).
There is also a photo of the thieves' bicycle, who “did not hesitate to enter the home with their shoes on, where the residents were present and using the garage, property and garden at the time...”
“We are also asking for help because of these circumstances, as everyone in this town and country may feel threatened if, in broad daylight, almost before the residents’ eyes and in an open, brazen manner, their privacy and property are violated,” the victims add. “We have always been moderately cautious and cared about safety, but as it turns out, one cannot feel safe even in one’s own bed. We are asking for a broad social ‘NO’ to such depravity. Today we are the victims; tomorrow it could be YOU. Let us not allow this!”
