The duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica received a report about shattered windows in a bus shelter. The nearest patrol was immediately sent to the scene. The officers spotted a man there whose hand was heavily bleeding. He was detained. During a conversation with the officers, he admitted that he had damaged the bus stop. He explained his behavior by referring to an argument with his girlfriend and the fact that he had to take his anger out somewhere.

It turned out that another bus stop on the same street had also been damaged. The detainee claimed, however, that he was not responsible for this act. The man was drunk—he had 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his system. He was taken to police custody.

The detainee is a 32-year-old from Legnica. The losses suffered by the Municipal Roads Authority were estimated at approximately PLN 350 (per bus stop). The frustrated vandal faces arrest, restriction of liberty or a fine.
