Between June 24 and August 31—despite numerous appeals and police operations—nearly 7,000 road accidents occurred, in which 601 people were killed and 8,746 injured. During this period, officers recorded 15 accidents on the roads in our county, in which 2 people died (17 were injured), as well as 209 collisions.

Moreover, during the holiday season, officers of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec identified 33 drunk drivers, issued 1,660 fines for exceeding the speed limit, and seized 306 vehicle registration certificates (due to the vehicles' technical condition).

The police paid particular attention to the belongings we left behind and ensured safety at holidaymakers' leisure destinations. From June 24 to August 31, 180 people drowned across the country (94 fewer than during last year's holidays). In Bolesławiec County, on the last Sunday of August, a 60-year-old man drowned in the Bóbr River.
