On 26 July, the 31st World Youth Day began in Kraków. It will continue until 31 July. On Wednesday, Pope Francis will arrive at WYD.
World Youth Day is a gathering of young Catholics held every two or three years, initiated by John Paul II in 1985. These are meetings with the Pope, organised in the form of a religious festival, bringing together young people from all over the world who wish to spend time together and pray.
