On Monday, the finals of the Jelenia Góra Zone Primary Schools Volleyball Championship in the “Four-a-side” format were held in the sports hall of SP No. 1. Boys competed for the title of the best team. Eight teams took part in the competition, divided into two groups. Group matches were played in a round-robin format, to two won sets (sets to 21 points). The top two teams from each group played semifinal matches, the losing teams competed for third place, and the semifinal winners for first place.
SP No. 1 Kamienna Góra proved to be the best team of the championship, defeating SP No. 7 Jelenia Góra, SP Mirsk and SP Janowice in succession in the group matches. The team from Kamienna Góra defeated SP Krzeszów and SP 4 Bolesławiec in the semifinal. In every match, the Kamienna Góra team defeated its opponents 2:0.
The zone runner-up, SP 4 Bolesławiec, won 2:0 against SP Zawidów and SP Krzeszów in the group matches, and 2:1 against SP Radogoszcz. In the semifinal, the Bolesławiec team faced the team from Mirsk and won 2:1. The bronze medalist of the championship, the team from Krzeszów, won its next two group matches after losing to Bolesławiec, beating Zawidów and Radogoszcz 2:1.
In the match for third place, the team from Krzeszów defeated SP Mirsk 2:0, with Mirsk finishing fourth. The remaining places went to the teams from Janowice, Zawidów, Radogoszcz and SP No. 7 Jelenia Góra.
