At around 8:00 a.m., an employee of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police noticed a cardboard box on the steps in front of the Municipal Police station. Inside was a barely alive animal—a young pine marten.
The animal was immediately taken to a veterinarian. After a preliminary examination, the veterinarian determined that the predator had been poisoned or exposed to poison. The pine marten is currently staying at the veterinary clinic.
After reviewing the surveillance footage, it was determined that at around 7:50 a.m., a dark-colored car, probably a BMW, pulled up to the entrance gate of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police station. A passenger calmly got out. The man took a cardboard box from the back seat and abandoned it on the steps, then… calmly walked back to the car and drove away toward Komuny Paryskiej Street.
The man did not bother to enter the Municipal Police duty office and report that he had brought in a sick pine marten. He did not even make sure when the animal would receive help.
