We wrote about the case in the article Brutal killings of three dogs near Bolesławiec. On Thursday, June 23, officers from Warta Bolesławiecka detained two suspects in the case. The 39-year-old owner of the dogs will face charges for soliciting their killing, for which he faces up to 2 years in prison. His 34-year-old associate, the perpetrator of the killing, faces charges of exceptional cruelty toward animals, punishable by up to 3 years in prison. Both detainees confessed.
The court may also impose a compensatory payment and a ban on keeping any animals on the two men. The perpetrator responsible for killing the dog in Żeliszów has not yet been identified. We will return to this subject.
