A few days ago, we noticed an interesting promotion at Tesco. Mars, Twix and Snickers bars, packed in large tubs with an additional “½ price” sign, suggested that this was a great deal. The price also seemed fairly reasonable. Only after reading the small-print price per kilogram—PLN 60.95—and comparing it with individual bars priced at PLN 29.00/kg did it turn out that the sweets which were supposed to cost half as much actually cost twice as much.
Today, the sweets in the tubs are cheaper, but still much more expensive than those bought individually.
Beware of promotions at Tesco and check the prices per kilogram, which are provided in small print.
