On 27 May, in one of the shops in Zgorzelec, a thief put three video doorbells into a bag, intending not to pay for them. However, as he was leaving the shop, he abandoned the stolen equipment and fled.
Police officers from Zgorzelec explained the suspect’s strange behavior after detaining the man several days later. He turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Zgorzelec. He explained that he had abandoned the stolen equipment because he had not anticipated its size... and had taken too small a bag.
The video doorbells, worth nearly PLN 2.5, were returned to their owner. The 28-year-old detainee faces up to five years in prison.
