We wrote about the matter as early as October last year. The new headquarters of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters will probably be built at the intersection of Cieszkowskiego and Modłowa streets. On Wednesday, during the 24th session of the Bolesławiec City Council, councillors will approve (or not—but given that the Forum club has a majority in this body, the voting result seems to be merely a formality) the donation to the State Treasury of the property on Cieszkowskiego Street. As we read in the justification for the draft resolution:
[…] the resolution was prepared in order to approve the donation by the Municipality of Bolesławiec to the State Treasury of the land property located in Bolesławiec on Cieszkowskiego Street [...] for the construction of a new headquarters for the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. The Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters requested the gratuitous transfer of the property in the form of a donation.
What are the advantages of this location? According to Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, there are several: its proximity to the motorway, transport accessibility (its location by the bypass), and the fact that the new headquarters will be not far from the city centre.
“We hope,” the mayor said last October, “that the County Police Headquarters will be built precisely in this location. If everything goes well, in just a few years the police headquarters will undergo a qualitative leap. This will bring an end to the saga that began with the prosecutor’s office headquarters and was followed by the Bolesławiec court. All state institutions will have both good locations and good working conditions.”
What do you think of the new location for the County Police Headquarters? We invite you to join the discussion.
