In the evening, the duty officer at the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received a report about a man who had run over a car, denting its bodywork.
At the scene, officers spotted the vandal. When he saw the uniformed officers, he began to flee. He was detained shortly afterward.
According to the officers’ findings, the 25-year-old was walking along one of Bolesławiec’s streets in the evening when he jumped onto a parked car and damaged its bodywork. The perpetrator was drunk, with more than 1.5 parts per thousand of alcohol in his breath. He was unable to explain his behavior.
The vehicle’s owner estimated the damage at nearly PLN 800. The 25-year-old could face up to five years in prison.
