During the championships, a 300 m race was held for athletes invited by the organizers. Bolesłavia athlete Julia Rogula was among the two national representatives taking part. Our young athlete, who is still in the under-16 category, finished an excellent third in a strong field with a very good time of 43.67. Another of our young athletes, Grzegorz Czepiel, won the under-16 discus throw (39.86 m), while Dawid Kopała won the senior hammer throw (49.82 m). These two events were also held as additional competitions.

Our currently best female athlete, Dominika Kwaszcz, was absent from the championships. After achieving the qualifying standard for the European Under-18 Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, Dominika competed on Saturday in an international meeting in Vienna, where she won her speciality, the long jump, with a result of 5.94 m, which is also better than the qualifying standard for the European Championships.

The Bolesławiec athletes will next compete on Saturday in Zielona Góra in the first round of the junior athletics league.
