For several months, the Lubin police, thanks to cooperation with the Lubin City Office, have had a drug tester at their disposal. The device allows officers to quickly verify whether a stopped driver is under the influence of intoxicants.
During this night alone, within 4 hours, officers arrested 3 such drivers. The first was a 25-year-old resident of Lubin, who was arrested at midnight by officers from the Police Station in Ścinawa. The test showed that he had previously taken methamphetamine.
Half an hour later, a 20-year-old from Lubin was arrested for driving under the influence of amphetamine. The last of those arrested, a 24-year-old from Polkowice, was taken off the road after 3:00 a.m. He had also previously taken amphetamine.
All the irresponsible drivers lost their driving licences. What is more, they face up to 2 years in prison.
