A desperate man climbed the cross on Tuesday, May 10, before 8:00 p.m. It was the same man who had done this many times before as part of a protest against not having a home.
An ambulance crew, police, firefighters and a group of onlookers are at the scene. Firefighters set up an inflatable rescue cushion beside the cross.
At one point, the man threw his identity card onto the ground. Encouragement for the desperate man to jump could be heard from the crowd of onlookers...
The man came down from the cross at approximately 10:00 p.m.
