The ceremony, held at noon in Bolesławiec Market Square, brought together representatives of local governments, veterans’ organisations, associations, unions and non-governmental organisations, scouts and residents of Bolesławiec. As is traditional, numerous colour guards took part in the ceremony. The ceremony was enhanced by the Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band.
Flag Day of the Republic of Poland has been observed since 2004. The main purpose of the celebrations is to promote knowledge about Polish identity and national symbols. The colours displayed on the national flag are among the most important elements of national identity.
