While on duty on Jana Pawła II Street in Jelenia Góra, at around 9:47 a.m. police officers noticed a Renault Megane traveling toward Jelenia Góra at high speed. The speedometer showed that the driver was traveling at 181 km/h where a speed limit was in effect.

The police stopped the driver for a roadside check. He turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Kamienna Góra County. He had exceeded the speed limit by 131 km/h.

The officers confiscated the driver's license for three months and fined him PLN 500, as well as imposing 10 penalty points. The 22-year-old told the officers that he was rushing to work.
