During a night patrol, officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters noticed a man on one of the roads outside a built-up area. He was walking on the carriageway without any reflective elements at all. The officers intervened.

It turned out that the 32-year-old man was intoxicated. What is more, he was wanted by the District Court in Lubań and had a prison sentence to serve.

The 32-year-old was taken into police custody, from where he will be transferred to a remand centre.

Police officers remind everyone that every pedestrian travelling after dark on a road outside a built-up area must wear a reflective element positioned so that it is visible to drivers. Failure to use a reflector is punishable by a fine of between PLN 20 and PLN 500.
