As officers established, the 20-year-old, who has no permanent place of residence, took advantage of his employer’s moment of inattention while at work and robbed her. He stole several thousand złoty, which the woman intended to deposit at a bank. When she realized that she had fallen victim to theft, she notified the police. She suspected the 20-year-old of the theft; he had disappeared with the money.
He hid from the police in one of the guesthouses, where he rented a room. When moving out, he stole a television set worth 600 złoty, which he then sold.
The man confessed to the crime. He now faces up to five years in prison.
