On Friday, Bolesławiec Explosive Ordnance Disposal Patrol No. 23 intervened in Godzieszów (an artillery shell). On Sunday, in Nowogrodziec (a panzerfaust dug up by an excavator at one of the construction sites) and again in Godzieszów, where a farmer found an artillery shell in his field. Interestingly, the unexploded ordnance had to be detonated on site.
Attention! April 11 – again in Godzieszów – our sappers will detonate an aerial bomb. There will be disruptions on the Godzieszów–Lubań provincial road from around noon.
– The most important thing, said Warrant Officer Radosław Mazur, commander of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Patrol No. 23, is not to touch unexploded ordnance, but to notify the police, the forest guard or a forester. Recently, there have been two accidents involving unexploded ordnance. We want to make everyone aware that they are still dangerous. Even if they are rusty and muddy, they may be in the same condition inside as if they had just left the factory.
