Last weekend, officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police conducted checks in the Bogatynia municipality. In the localities of Działoszyn and Opolno-Zdrój, they stopped four passenger-car drivers who were travelling at speeds of over 100 km/h. The record-holder was speeding at nearly 140 km/h, exceeding the limit by as much as 90 km/h.

The checks showed that breaking road-traffic regulations knows no borders, as among those stopped, besides residents of our country, there were also citizens of the Czech Republic and Germany.

All four lost their driving licences and received PLN 500 fines.
