This is an educational program run by the Forum for Dialogue Foundation. To date, the workshops have been held with great success in more than 250 schools in approximately 165 towns and cities throughout Poland.

The School of Dialogue is a program that has been running since 2008. Its aim is to expand students’ knowledge of the centuries-long presence of Jews in Poland and their contribution to the social, cultural and economic development of our country. It is based on the belief that knowledge, understanding and dialogue are key to overcoming barriers. Schools participating in the project receive the title of “School of Dialogue.”

During four workshops, students learn about a range of issues related to Jewish culture and tradition. Then, under the supervision of Forum trainers, they prepare a walking route commemorating the pre-war history of Bolesławiec’s Jewish population. They will present the results of their work to the city’s residents during a final tour. The tour report will be entered into a competition, whose winners will be announced in early March 2017 at the ceremonial School of Dialogue Gala in Warsaw.

Interesting information about Jewish heritage in Jędrzejów can be found on the Wirtualny Sztetl portal.
