On 18 March, the duty officer at the Lubin police received information that a window at a bus stop had been smashed and that the perpetrators were fleeing the scene. He immediately sent a patrol there.
At the scene, the officers noticed four men matching the description. They were detained. It turned out that one of them, a 21-year-old resident of Rudna commune, had become very angry with his girlfriend and took out his anger on the bus stop, kicking and punching the windows and smashing them. He caused PLN 850 in damage to the detriment of Lubin City Hall.
At the time of his detention, the man had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath. He now faces up to five years in prison.
