The incident occurred on Friday, March 4, before 8:00 a.m., on Bankowa Street in Bolesławiec. Out of nowhere, the 35-year-old man put his arm around the 7-year-old boy, who was walking to school with his mother. The attacker squeezed the child so tightly around the stomach that the little boy vomited.
Fortunately, two passers-by helped the 7-year-old break free. A police patrol detained the aggressor.
The 35-year-old was taken to the closed ward of a psychiatric hospital. He has already been given medication. The boy was admitted to the district ZOZ for observation.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. The attacker will probably be charged with exposing the child to a direct risk of loss of life or serious bodily harm, an offense punishable by up to three years in prison.
