On 1 March 2016, the first organizational meeting opening the series of training sessions במסגרת the “Safe Woman” course took place. During the meeting, the women were introduced to the training program.
This year, the classes will be led by instructors from the Lubin Krav Maga school: Adam Grzeziółkowski, Agnieszka Kazimierów and the new instructor Kamila Bębasz.
The techniques of the Krav Maga school are based on natural defensive reflexes, which are perfected during training so that, in a real threat situation, an attacked woman can avoid being injured and act as quickly as possible. Course participants will learn not only to react quickly, but also to assess threats correctly, defend themselves appropriately to the attack and control their emotions.
The Lubin County Governor funded 10 meetings (on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.). In the initial phase, the classes will be held in a gymnasium. They will then be moved to more realistic settings: a bus, a shopping mall and a restaurant.
