The Bolesławiec bridge team Prnjavor Bolesławiec won the Third Sports Bridge League competition, thereby earning direct promotion to the Second League. From the very beginning of the competition in October last year, our team took the lead and continued to extend its advantage over its rivals until the very end.

The final meeting took place in Bolesławiec last weekend. It was attended by the six best teams, which played return matches against one another in a round-robin format. The Bolesławiec team entered the meeting in a comfortable position, holding a huge lead of 78 match points over the team in second place. Despite the large advantage, our players did not underestimate their rivals and on the first day of competition recorded three wins out of three, securing promotion to the Second League. On Sunday, they added a fourth victory and suffered a narrow defeat in the final match, which no longer mattered.

Throughout the competition, the Prnjavor team played 25 matches, winning 21, drawing one and suffering three narrow defeats. The total score of 474 points is a fantastic achievement, while the 85-point lead over the team in second place, Turbo Wrocław, is a record in the history of the competition.
