On 29 February 2016, a ceremonial briefing of the Lubin police leadership was held. During it, the Lubin District Police Commander, Police Inspector Tomasz Gołaski officially bid farewell to Police Commissioner Jan Izak, who was leaving the police force for a well-deserved retirement. The district commander thanked the departing police officer for his many years of service and cooperation for the benefit of the residents of Lubin County.
Commissioner Izak worked in the police for 25 years.
Another briefing was held on 1 March 2016. This time, it was attended by police officers from the Ścinawa Police Station. During it, Police Inspector Tomasz Gołaski entrusted Senior Police Commissioner Janusz Światowski with the duties of head of the unit.
The new commander of the Ścinawa police officers has extensive professional experience. He worked in the criminal investigation department and also held managerial positions in the Lubin police force. Most recently, he worked as head of the Forensic Techniques Unit. Now, by decision of the Lubin District Police Commander, he will be responsible for the safety of the residents of the City and Municipality of Ścinawa.
