Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica detained a completely drunk man who was driving a MAN truck with a trailer on the A4 motorway. The detainee is a 54-year-old resident of Radom.
The detention took place on the Legnica section of the motorway after other drivers reported that the lorry was driving across the entire width of the road and that its driver was cutting off other vehicles, accelerating and braking sharply.
The test showed that the driver had 2.4 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man, who turned out to have been travelling from the German border towards Wrocław, was detained to sober up. Police established that he was travelling to Warsaw.
He now faces up to two years in prison.
