On Saturday, a qualifying tournament for the Lower Silesian Youth Volleyball Championship was held at the sports hall of Gimnazjum No. 3 on Armii Krajowej Street in Bolesławiec. The first match began unfavourably for the Bolesławiec team. With the score at 8–5 for the visitors, TOP coach Adrian Graczyk called a timeout, calming the play and restoring balance to the team. Cheered on by their supporters, the Bolesławiec players levelled the score at 14–14 and did not relinquish the lead thereafter. Attackers Frączek and Sądaj scored successive points for TOP time and again. The set ended with a 25–17 victory for the Bolesławiec team.
TOP started the second set boldly, but the opponents did not give up and, after an even contest, the visitors won 25–22. The third set was a showcase of the Bolesławiec volleyball players’ skills. From start to finish, the Bolesławiec team dictated the pace, winning 15–7 (the entire match 2–1). In the return match, TOP’s volleyball players won 2–0 (25–15, 25–20).
TOP Bolesławiec’s youth team played with: A. Folga, J. Troszczyński, K. Frączek, S. Sądaj, R. Turczyński, M. Sobczak and K. Kulesza. A. Graczyk is the coach of TOP Bolesławiec’s youth team. Next Saturday, TOP Bolesławiec’s youth team will host volleyball players from Milicz.
Defeat for fourth-division TOP Bolesławiec
The fourth-division TOP Bolesławiec volleyball team suffered an unexpected defeat. Our team lost away to MPK Bogatynia 1–3 (21–25, 21–25, 25–18, 16–25).
