A recording of the incident was posted online. Information quickly emerged that police officers had taken part in the fight. On Wednesday, the Lower Silesian police confirmed that three off-duty officers had been involved in the incident.

One of them was a police officer serving as acting Municipal Police Chief in Jelenia Góra. He was dismissed from the position and suspended from official duties.

As reported by Radio Wrocław: According to unofficial information, the other participants were a female police officer from the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime and an officer from Głuszyca.

Statement by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław:

We hereby inform you that, in connection with a video published online showing a fragment of an incident that took place on the premises of one of the filling stations in Wałbrzych, and given that the findings made confirmed the participation of three Police officers, including one serving as the municipal police chief in Jelenia Góra, the matter was investigated by police inspection units in accordance with the applicable procedures, at the direction of the Provincial Police Chief in Wrocław. The actions undertaken were intended, among other things, to reconstruct the course of the incident in detail, determine whether any laws had been violated, and assess the situation from a criminal-law perspective.

The preliminary conclusions from the work of the Inspection Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, which is continuing its activities in this case, including those related to the participation of an officer from Wałbrzych County, already provided grounds for disciplinary proceedings to be initiated against the officer serving as acting Municipal Police Chief in Jelenia Góra. By decision of the Provincial Police Chief in Wrocław, he was dismissed today from the position he had held, transferred to the disposal of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, and suspended from official duties.
