The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 16, at approximately 6:00 p.m., on Iwaszkiewicza Street in Legnica. A 63-year-old woman driving a Toyota passenger car hit a 14-year-old boy who was on the pedestrian crossing. However, the boy managed to push his 9-year-old sister away, so she was unharmed.
The 14-year-old, who suffered a leg injury, was taken to hospital. He received medical attention and was discharged home.
The Toyota driver was sober. Police confiscated her driving licence. She may face up to 8 years in prison.
