The training initiated a series of undertakings. “Kwisa-16 is an introduction to further exercises: the command-and-staff exercise of the 1st Tank Battalion (1bcz), followed by a tactical field exercise with troops of the 1st Tank Battalion leading up to Puma-16. It is sensibly arranged as a whole, and the documents developed during this training will be continued in subsequent exercises of the 1st Tank Battalion. On their basis, we will consistently conduct exercises with subunits,” said the brigade chief of staff, Major Piotr Nawrocki.
Planning section officer Captain Artur Niedźwiecki added: “The exercise is intended to improve the Brigade staff elements’ skills in planning and developing data to support the commander’s decisions. During this training, we prepare and develop the situation for subsequent exercises, which will take place in April and June. We base the tactical situation on hypothetical, yet as realistic as possible, assumptions. In response to them, we plan the Brigade’s actions.
Kwisa-16 is an introduction to the challenges awaiting the 10BKPanc in the coming months. It provides an opportunity to train and increase the effectiveness of the command and staff in carrying out the operational planning process.
