The event was attended not only by soldiers of the 23rd Artillery Regiment from Bolesławiec, but also by soldiers and officers who will support the artillerymen in carrying out tasks in the area of responsibility under the mandate in Kosovo.

Lieutenant Colonel Jarosław Radzimierski, commander of the XXXIV KFOR Contingent rotation, began the ceremony by reporting to Colonel Paweł Świtalski, commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment. The assembly was organized to mark the handover of components formed for the needs of the XXXIV rotation of the Polish Military Contingent KFOR.

Representatives of the individual units providing forces for the contingent—Lieutenant Colonel Piotr Rogalski, representing the 1st Pomeranian Logistics Brigade from Bydgoszcz; Colonel Piotr Filipowski, representing the General Headquarters of the Military Gendarmerie in Warsaw; Major Piotr Zawiślak, representing the Centre for Preparation for Foreign Missions in Kielce; Major Ireneusz Romanowski, representing the Central Psychological Operations Group from Bydgoszcz; and Major Mariusz Piotrowski, representing the 9th Warmian Reconnaissance Regiment from Lidzbark Warmiński—ceremonially handed over the designated elements, teams and groups to Colonel Paweł Świtalski, commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment.

The soldiers of the XXXIV rotation will leave for the mission as early as May. Following successful certification, they will use the remaining several dozen days for final preparations, correcting any shortcomings identified during the tests and taking leave.

In his address, the Regiment commander thanked the commanders and soldiers for their effort and commitment to training, and expressed his deep conviction that the Regiment’s soldiers and the assigned components were ready to perform their tasks as intended. The commander of the XXXIV rotation of the Polish Military Contingent KFOR briefly characterized the tasks completed so far and declared that his soldiers were ready to take part in the certifying tactical exercise codenamed “Pristina 16-I”.

After a dynamic demonstration by soldiers of the 3rd motorized platoon assigned from the Special Unit of the Military Gendarmerie in Mińsk Mazowiecki, the assembly concluded with a parade of subunits.
