Information can be provided to police officers via the newly launched website, and it can also be submitted anonymously. The website was created through the joint efforts of European law enforcement authorities concerned with the safety of citizens.

The website www.eumostwanted.eu was launched at the initiative of the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams (ENFAST), comprising police officers from 28 European Union countries who specialise in apprehending people hiding from law enforcement authorities. The website makes it possible to submit information concerning people wanted, convicted or suspected of committing the most serious criminal or terrorist offences in Europe.

This is the first initiative of its kind. With the aim of increasing security in the European Union, it brings together at pan-European level existing websites featuring images of wanted people. Information about a wanted person can be submitted via the website, including anonymously.

The website’s content, available in 17 languages, is managed by the individual ENFAST teams based in European Union countries. Administrators publish details of particularly wanted individuals on the website, and every piece of information about such a person is forwarded directly to the country concerned.

EUROPOL supports ENFAST in this project by creating a secure platform for the “Europe’s Most Wanted Fugitives List”. EUROPOL also assists the website administrators with technical matters.
