Officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra identified and then detained two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, suspected of robbery.
The incident took place in Jelenia Góra on January 15 this year, around midnight. As the victim was returning home, he was attacked, beaten and robbed by the detainees. Their loot was a mobile phone worth PLN 30. After committing the crime, the attackers fled. The following day, the victim notified the police about the attack and also provided descriptions of the suspects.
They were apprehended by the officers two days after the attack was reported. The older suspect is a resident of one of the youth educational centres. He could face up to 12 years in prison. The younger suspect will be held accountable for his actions before a family court.
