Police officers from the Szklarska Poręba Police Station arrested two men, aged 30 and 37, suspected of damaging property. The crime took place during the night of 5–6 December this year. The police received a report stating that two drunk men were damaging the door of a restaurant. The caller also provided a description of the vandals.
When the officers arrived at the scene, the hooligans were no longer there, but the uniformed officers noticed two broken windows and a damaged entrance door.
It turned out that the reason for the men’s aggressive behaviour was that the restaurant staff had refused to let them inside. They then began kicking and hitting the doors and windows with a metal grate, causing losses of PLN 1,000.
The vandals were arrested several streets away. Both were drunk; each had more than 2 per mille of alcohol in their system. They now face up to five years in prison.
