16-year-old robbed a shop with a knife. He was detained by police officers

Officers from the Police Station in Chojnów, as a result of their investigation, identified and detained a young man suspected of robbing one of the grocery stores. The detained 16-year-old was taken to a police juvenile detention facility. The court will now decide his further fate.

Robbery

In the evening, an assailant wearing a balaclava entered a grocery store in Chojnów and, threatening a female employee with a knife, demanded money. After stealing cash from the cash register, he fled the scene. The perpetrator made off with several hundred złoty. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Detention

Chojnów police officers immediately began searching for the perpetrator after receiving information about the robbery. As part of their investigation, they identified the suspect and detained him the very next day. The 16-year-old had previously also been recorded for property-related crimes.

By court decision, the detained teenager will be placed in a juvenile shelter for three months. He will then answer for his actions before the family court.
